OSK PhD Day 22 November
On Wednesday 22 November the OSK PhD Council organised their first event: the OSK PhD Day! The day started with a visit to the Mauritshuis in The Hague to visit the exhibition Loot – 10 stories. Here we got to delve into contemporary issues in the museum landscape and we had a great discussion about the exhibition and museums with junior curator Sheila Reda and exhibition employee Daphne Martens who worked on Loot – 10 stories. After this we travelled to Leiden University to attend the Museum talk ‘The Future Museum: Digital Replicas, Virtual Reality and Storytelling for a New Audience’ by Kel O’Neill, the guest curator and artistic lead for the exhibition. We closed the evening with a discussion and drinks in Leiden with Kel O’Neill and Sheila Reda.
We had a great day and hope to organise similar events in the future, we hope to see you there!
