Center for Netherlandish Art Student Session with Anna Koopstra and Bart Fransen
Date and time: 26 April 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (EDT)
Designed by students for students, the Center for Netherlandish Art (CNA) at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Student Sessions give you a chance to engage in conversations with various experts in Netherlandish art and history.
Our next CNA Student Sessions will feature Dr. Anna Koopstra, curator of Early Netherlandish Painting at the Musea Brugge, and Dr. Bart Fransen, head of the Centre for the Study of the Flemish Primitives at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage, Brussels. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the Closer to Memling project from a curatorial and technical art history perspective. Initiated by the Musea Brugge in partnership with Belgium’s Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA), Closer to Memling highlights Hans Memling’s work through ultra-high-resolution images. Hear Anna Koopstra and Bart Fransen discuss their roles in this interdisciplinary project and learn about their professional journeys.
Advance registration is required here. This event will take place via Zoom and is open to all students (undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students).
