To guard the national character of a national research school, it is important to change it's chairing institute every five or ten years. That is why the Onderzoekschool Kunstgeschiedenis (OSK) will move it's secretary from Utrecht University to the UvA (University of Amsterdam) as of 1 January 2019.
With the UvA as our new chairing institute, we welcome a new director and coördinator in January. Current director, prof. dr. Koen Ottenheym, will be succeeded by prof. dr. Frans Grijzenhout. Professor Grijzenhout is chair of art history of the early modern period at the University of Amsterdam, and presently an OSK board member. Coördinator Annelien Krul will be succeeded by drs. Paul Koopman, an experienced research school coördinator currently working for e.g. the Huizinga Instituut. Chantal Olijerhoek will manage the office. She is now office manager of four other national research schools.
The move is an administrative matter, that will not influence OSK's teaching program or any ongoing agreements. Koen Ottenheym and Annelien Krul will be at your full disposal until the end of the year. The new executive team is looking forward to take over from 1 January 2019. Together we are working on a smooth transition to Amsterdam.
Should you have any questions about this matter, please don't hesitate to contact the OSK.
